I managed to bring a non-functional Sony 4K TV back to life by using Claude Code to guide the diagnostic and troubleshooting process. With the help of step-by-step measurements and intermediate knowledge of electronics, I identified the fault within about an hour of actual work.

Identifying and fixing the fault

The issue was caused by a shorted Schottky diode, which prevented the standby control voltage from being generated. After replacing the faulty component, the TV returned to its normal operating state. This experience demonstrates how the collaboration between practical technical knowledge and AI-assisted tools can streamline the electronic equipment repair process.
